The Finding Our Families, Finding Ourselves youth program is a 2-hour program that explores America’s multicultural legacy and exposes students to personal stories of migration and immigration. This program is appropriate for students in 3rd grade and above.
Students in this program journey into the past to discover the challenges faced by immigrants travelling to the U.S. in the 19th and 20th centuries. By hearing the family stories of noted celebrities, students realize the importance of speaking to relatives about their family history and are encouraged to identify their own mentors and role-models.
