Please join us for a timely and thought-provoking conversation with Ben M. Freeman, author of the seminal Jewish Pride trilogy and founder of the Modern Jewish Pride movement.

In discussion with the Simon Wiesenthal Center's Head of Advocacy Vlad Khaykin, Ben will share his fascinating research on how modern hatred of Jews can only be overcome by unshakable connections to Jewish identity.

The Jews: An Indigenous People will be available for purchase. A book signing will follow the program.

About the Speakers:
Ben M Freeman Headshot-1Ben M. Freeman is the founder of the modern Jewish Pride movement and one of the premier Jewish public intellectuals of his generation. He is the author of the groundbreaking Jewish Pride: Rebuilding a People (2021), Reclaiming Our Story (2022), and The Jews: An Indigenous People (2025).

A Holocaust scholar for more than fifteen years, Freeman rose to prominence during the Corbyn Labour crisis in the United Kingdom and quickly became a central figure in contemporary discussions of Jewish peoplehood and experience. He was ranked number 8 on the inaugural 25 Young ViZionaries list by The Jerusalem Post and JNF USA, serves as a Jewish Diplomat for the World Jewish Congress, and is a Research Fellow at the Elizabeth and Tony Comper Interdisciplinary Center at the University of Haifa.

 

vlad webinar headshotVlad Khaykin is the head of advocacy at the Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC). In his role, Vlad spearheads policy changes that reduce acts of antisemitism and hatred, create positive changes in behavior toward Jews and other persecuted communities, and increase public support for the State of Israel. Previously, Vlad led advocacy efforts for ADL, AJC, and JCRC of Boston. He is a former refugee from state-sponsored antisemitism in the Soviet Union and a grandson of Holocaust survivors.
