Enter the world of Anne Frank and witness her story of courage, loss, and enduring hope amid one of history’s darkest chapters. Through replicas, artifacts, videos, firsthand accounts, and Anne’s own words, visitors trace her journey from childhood to her time in hiding, and ultimately to the lasting legacy of her diary.

This self-guided exhibit unfolds in three parts. Visitors begin with replicas of Anne’s belongings, family photographs, and rare documents that shed light on her world as a young girl and as an adolescent navigating the complexities of youth amidst the brutality of the Holocaust. The exhibit turns to her time in the Secret Annex and includes a film that provides historical context on the rise of the Nazis and the harsh realities of hiding. The final section reflects on Anne’s imprisonment at Bergen-Belsen and concludes with a reproduction of her diary, and loose-leaf sheets of her writings, which continue to resonate across generations.

An interactive action lab invites visitors to reflect on the dangers of intolerance and discrimination, where guests can make personal pledges to foster empathy and justice in their own communities.
